Creating Anchors & Hyperlinks in Website Builder

 Creating Anchors
1. Select the location on a page (within a content block) where you would like to create a special anchor by placing your cursor there. Click on the Anchor in the Text Designer(to the right of the hyperlink icon) - Note: You cannot create an anchor for highlighted text or image

2. Name your Anchor - make it easily identifiable.

3. Click OK - your anchor will be identified by a gray box. If you need to edit your anchor name - double click this gray box.

Follow the steps below to link to this anchor.

Creating Hyperlinks (for Text or Images)

1. After you have inserted an Image or typed a word or phrase that you would like to link - highlight the text or click to highlight the image.

2. Click on the chain link icon on the Text Designer (next to the anchor icon)

3. A screen will open in which you can choose what you would like to link to:
        • Email - a click will open the default email client on the visitors computer
        • URL - outside website or webpage
        • Page - a page within your site
        • Upload - opens a document such as PDF or image
        • Anchor - goes to a specific spot on a page within your site
        • No Follow - whether you want to allow search engines to follow the link
        • Open in New Window - Link opens in a new window

4. Click OK then click the Save/Disk icon to save this link.

NEED TO KNOW
Linked text will appear with color and mouseover options specified in your COLORS setting which can be found in the Styles Menu Tab.
